Photos taken on a 2017 tour through Northern Spain (and into Portugal) staying in the Paradors — the state-operated guest houses, usually in historic buildings — spread through Catalonia, Asturias, Cantabria, León and finishing at Santiago de Compostela.
The images in this collection are from the Catalonian capital Barcelona — including the Palau de la Música Catalonia and Gaudí's Sagrada Família — from the dramatic Abbey of Montserrat, from Pamplona, and from the 19th-century seaside resort of San Sebastiàn, probably the best-known city of the Basque region.
