WA Wildflowers
Wildflowers of the Western Australian grain belt, September 2025
We toured through the rich West Australian grain belt in September 2025 — past fields of wheat and canola that extended horizon-to-horizon, and through meadows filled with wild-flowers.
It's not my usual subject: I find that, like birds, flower albums tend to become taxonomies. Still, they're lovely things and invite the photographer to do his best. There are duplicate shots of some species, dictated by what was in front of me, but there's still variation in the form of each. Mostly shot with my OM-1 and a 40–150mm lens, with one or two frames from a Leica Q3-43.
